I hope that you are all well and were able to get involved with some VE Day celebrations at home.
Below are the links to White Rose Maths. The website only published weeks 1-3 for free home access so please find week 4 (this week) below. There is a link to the videos, the worksheets and the answer sheets.

Maths - please continue to use the White Rose resources which can be found by clicking the link below (w/c 20th April). If you have been using these every day, we are now working from Summer Term - Week 3, however all previous lessons can be accessed via this link.
English - below I have included a link for the new Talk for Writing unit "The City of Silence". As with the previous unit, there is sufficient content to cover a two week period. Children are encouraged to send me their writing and I am happy to provide them with feedback.
Geography - Alex Quigley has provided a week's worth of lessons on Antarctica, Africa, Asia and a comparison of the continents. The link is attached below and I look forward to seeing the fabulous work that you create from this.

Easter Activities
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.
I hope that you have all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break and are now ready to return to school for a year that promises to be exciting, hard-working and high-achieving.
Details of the curriculum that Year 6 shall be following can be found on the attached curriculum map. I have also included some general house-keeping details below, of which you should be aware:
* P.E. will take place every Tuesday and Friday, however the expectation is for your child to have their P.E. kit (plain green t-shirt, black shorts, plimsolls and/or trainers) in school every day.
* Homework shall be set every Friday and is expected to be completed and handed in the following Wednesday. This is in addition to the children practising in their spelling journal and revisiting multiplication tables to maintain their fluency.
* In addition to this, your child is expected to spend at least 10 minutes every day reading or being read to and this should be recorded in your child’s reading record along with an adult’s signature wherever possible.
Any help or support that you can give your child in relation to these key skills will be hugely beneficial to your child and is greatly appreciated by us.

Welcome to Year 6
I hope that you all had a relaxing, enjoyable, and rejuvenating summer and are ready for the year ahead. From what I have seen in class so far, I am very much looking forward to this academic year as it promises to be full of exciting and innovative learning and high-achieving children.
Some general bits of class admin for you to be aware of are as follows:
* Year 6 will have P.E. on a Tuesday afternoon and shall have Street Dance on a Friday afternoon, however the expectation is for your child to have their P.E. kit (plain green t-shirt, black shorts, plimsolls and/or trainers) in school every day, as we shall still be completing 'Golden Mile' time wherever possible.
* Up until Christmas, homework shall be set every Friday and is expected to be completed and handed in the following Wednesday. This is in addition to the children practising their spellings and multiplication tables which shall be tested every Friday.
* Your child is expected to spend at least 10 minutes every day reading or being read to and this should be recorded in your child’s reading record along with an adult’s signature wherever possible.
Should you have any questions or concerns about any aspect of your child's learning, please do not hesitate to come and speak to an adult in the class.
